"I was hired by my company originally to oversee the transition to a VOIP system prior to moving to a new premises where standard phone lines weren’t an option. Having previously worked for a national telecoms operator, I had a bit of a leg up in understanding how it would all work and found my primary contact at Kefcom to be very knowledgeable.


There we some bumps in the road that came from our previous supplier, however Kefcom (chiefly Tom Hemmings) worked tirelessly to address them. Without getting too technical it related to number porting and virtualisation, which I’ve seen even the largest telecoms operator in the country struggle with first hand.


Within the first couple of weeks all our staff had individually assigned phones delivered to our previous office; the fact they arrived ready to go meant we had plenty of time to train the staff on how to use them (the Polycom VVX 301’s were a significant technological upgrade to our previous ‘mix and match’ equipment and have a whole host of additional features). As a growing business it’s also be a delight that increasing our user volume has been no trouble at all; a new unit is requested and within a couple of business days it arrives ready to go. 


Tom was instrumental in shortening the learning curve required by the business portal and it’s almost second nature now; from an admin account I can change just about any aspect, including who’s phone (individuals or departments) rings and when, what the options on the IVR platform do and distribute the additional software options that come as part of the package (the office favourite being a very MSN Messenger-esque service that also shows who’s online and who’s already on a call before you try to transfer a client).


Where Kefcom has stood out for me above all others, is with a continuously impeccable service, the majority of my requests are dealt with immediately, and the few things that take a little longer to work on I’ve been regularly updated to the progress."
