Network Design & Installation
Many companies offer structured cabling installation and we're no different; however, large campus networks are unique in the challenges they present.
In most cases existing holiday parks are retro-fitting data networks in order to offer the type of connectivity expected by holiday makers in the 21st century. This requires a sympathetic approach to works, often including unavoidable ground works to be undertaken, and we pride ourselves in supplying the highest standards whilst causing minimal disruption.
Robust design is the key to any large network, especially when it is being used to deliver services such as WiFi, Television and Telecoms to your customers. That’s why we use high-speed fibre optic-links and market leading networking hardware to build automatic redundancy into our networks. Therefore in the event of a link failing the network will automatically re-route in order to keep all services live.

Site-Wide WiFi
With free WiFi available almost everywhere these days, it is an absolute pre-requisite for most holiday makers.
Implemented poorly, it can be a source of frustration for clients and staff alike. At Kefcom we use only market leading WiFi equipment designed specifically for large-scale, high user number, networks.
If you opt to install a site-wide data network to deliver other services such as TV over IP and Telecoms, that same infrastructure can be utilised as the backbone to deliver WiFi around your site.
If you only require WiFi and prefer not undertake the groundworks associated with cabling, we can provide a 'MESH' WiFi network instead. In this instance a series of antenna are installed strategically across the site to be covered to provide a blanket of WiFi.
Prior to any installation a detailed site survey in undertaken to assure that maximum coverage is achieved.
All of our systems are secure and can be managed by your staff giving you the control to change passwords, limit downloads, etc...
Television over IP
Delivering TV to a large number of rooms or properties has always been challenging. In areas such as Cornwall especially, many leisure sites are built on the coastline and often find that there is no TV reception at the properties. Other sites find that the aesthetics of fitting a TV aerial or Satellite dish in unsuitable.
At Kefcom we are able to assist you with delivering TV services across your site utilising underground fibre-optic links and cables direct to each property. By situating a 'head-end' location in an area with good signal strength, we can then distribute that signal via our network.
Some clients simply choose to provide basic TV services to each property, however others have seen this as a further profit generating opportunity by utilising TV over IP technology. TVoIP opens up a world of opportunities to enhance your customer experience and to upsell, including services such as 'pay per view' movies, interactive concierge ordering, bill viewing, advertising, early check-out, etc.
Digital Signage
Digital Signage is now becoming the norm in the retail and hospitality. Utilising the same technology as TV over IP, displays can be set up across your site to provide up-to-date information and advertising.
The applications are almost endless from check-in information in the lobby, menus in the cafe, weather information and news updates around site, to emergency announcements and instructions.
An online portal is provided where you can make adjustments to the content and design of your signage from anywhere with an internet connection, giving you total control without the need to pay each time you want to update.
You can also combine TV over IP and digital signage. For example, you may wish to display a promotional video, or news channel on part of the screen, while displaying fixed content in another.
